Job Description Summary:
A Quality Control TA will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and reliability. You will be responsible for executing various testing procedures, analyzing data, and implementing quality assurance measures to meet regulatory standards and customer expectations. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the continued success and reputation of Astemo. This role will be in the Die Cast area on 2nd Shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measure Parts for Quality
- Track and Analyze reject and Scrap Trends
- Participate in Daily Reject Meetings (RIP/PDCA\Gemba)
- Develops / Implements CM's for Quality Concerns (PDCA)
- Disposition and Confirmation of Product with Quality Related Concerns (Testing, Analyzing and reporting)
- Develop & Maintain Quality Improvement Plan (organize, update, present)
- Develop, Implement, Work Instructions and Quality Related Standards
- Support Production Management with New Model Year Activity (Cpk study, CAP's, FMEA, training, Reject flow, Trials)
- Understand Customer Requirements
- Ability to learn PCN process and how to implement
Education:
- High School diploma / GED
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
- Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Astemo companies
- Maintains clean and orderly work environment
- Provides strong leadership to subordinate personnel
- Interacts with various levels of associates
- Improves manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives
- Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment
- Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed
Essential to Job Functions:
- Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, 35 pounds occasionally & push, pull, tug up to 50 pounds
