Description
Job Purpose
As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling components, and maintaining production quality standards in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of parts to OEM customers as part of an automotive supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
Assemble automotive components and sub-assemblies to defined specifications and quality standards.
Perform visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure product conformity.
Follow standardised work instructions and maintain accurate production records as required.
Support daily production targets and cycle time goals, reporting any delays or issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area (5S compliance).
Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, quality circles, etc.).
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
Handle parts and materials responsibly to prevent damage or waste.
Rotate through different workstations as needed based on operational demand.
Required Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly role (automotive industry preferred).
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and gauges.
Comfortable working in a physically active role with standing, bending, and lifting up to 40kg.
Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends or overtime if required.
