We are currently seeking a Technical Lead for Vehicle Brake Control Functions to join our R&D organization. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the development of world-class products that deliver both safety and performance.
Your core responsibilities include:
Lead the development, tuning, and continuous improvement of vehicle brake control functions, including BCU (base braking/standstill) and ESC features.
Define system requirements, specifications, and functional architectures while ensuring consistency, traceability, and technical justification.
Contribute to the development of next-generation braking concepts enabled by EHB, EMB, and hybrid brake-by-wire technologies.
Provide technical leadership and arbitration on key control strategy, system architecture, and integration decisions.
Lead and develop a team of system engineers in Europe through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on technical guidance.
Ensure alignment and effective collaboration with the corresponding engineering team in China, promoting common methodologies and deliverables.
Oversee software integration, verification, validation, and vehicle tuning activities on both test benches and development vehicles.
Support prototype vehicle preparation, customer demonstrations, and technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Promote ASPICE-aligned development practices, Model-Based Design approaches, and engineering excellence across projects.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development efficiency, validation methods, and team effectiveness.
Profile and Qualifications
Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Control Systems, Embedded Software, Vehicle Dynamics, or a related discipline.
Proven expertise in vehicle brake control functions, including experience with at least two ESC functions.
Proven hands-on experience owning the development, calibration, and release of at least two ESC functions through complete vehicle application programs, from concept and integration through validation and production release
Strong knowledge of System Engineering principles, requirements management, and Model-Based Design methodologies.
Solid understanding of chassis technologies, including braking, steering, and suspension systems.
Practical experience with embedded systems, electronics, simulation environments, and control algorithms.
Familiarity with system architecture, configuration management, and requirements management tools.
Knowledge of Functional Safety standards
Experience working within international, multi-site, and matrix organizations, including influencing teams without direct reporting lines.

Fluent English communication skills and willingness to travel, including participation in winter test campaigns.
Salary
Based on experience: 80k-90k + bonus
