We are currently seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the development of world-class products that deliver both safety and performance.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Lead the mechanical and mechatronic design of the integration of a Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) into an automotive electric brake actuator housing.
- Define and optimize the architecture of the PCBA-to-housing interface and the housing components design, including mounting concepts, packaging, sealing, thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and manufacturability considerations.
- Coordinate the product development activities with electrical, electronics, software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier teams.
- Lead design reviews and technical risk assessments and related analyses (tolerance analyses, stack-up assessments, design robustness evaluations, …), including DFMEA activities and design validation planning.
- Interface with suppliers for component development, technical reviews, manufacturing readiness, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and validation records.
- Ensure core technical knowledge maintenance, extension and formalization.
Profile and Qualifications:
- Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive product development with significant exposure to mechatronic systems and proven experience in the integration of PCBAs/electronic modules into mechatronic or electromechanical products.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design, electronic packaging, thermal management, vibration resistance, sealing technologies, and EMC considerations; experience with plastic, aluminum die-cast, machined and stamped component design.
- Good understanding of automotive development standards and processes and knowledge on safety-critical product development are highly desirable.
- Experience working with international suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English
