Astemo in Europe draws upon the region’s rich engineering heritage and forward-looking mindset. Known for its pioneering work in electrification, advanced chassis systems, and next-gen autonomous driving technologies, Europe’s teams set global benchmarks for quality, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

Bulgaria is the host of the seneos GmbH Sofia office. Specialized in embedded systems software, the Sofia office was created in 2019 before seneos GmbH joining our group in 2020. 

Located in North Bohemia, the Zatec plant's main focus lies on the suspension production. High pressure fuel pumps, valve timing control systems and variable displacement vane pumps are also produced in this plant. The Astemo Zatec team counts around 360 employees. 

With two sites, one located in the Greater Paris area, the other in Angers, France represents an important part of Astemo in Europe. The site in Drancy, near Paris, is a Research and Development Center for braking systems and AD/ADAS systems and also has Global Functions employees amongst their staff. 
Located in region Loire, Angers is known for its quality of life. The production site has over 40 years of experience in brake production. Nowadays the plant is specialized in disc brakes assembly, counting over 300 employees.

Real pioneering country in the automotive industry, Germany also plays a big role for Astemo Europe. Besides the European Headquarters, near Munich, fostering Global Functions and Engineering teams, Germany counts several Astemo sites. The Espelkamp site, in the North of the country, is specialized in aftermarket activities. In Saxony, the Rosswein plant, is producing high pressure fuel pumps, counting over 270 employees. The Frankfurt office, in Rüsselsheim plays an important role, being a hub for Purchasing and Procurement departments and Engineering teams. The Heilbronn site is a Sales and Development Center for disc and drum brakes, as well as automated parking brakes. Located in the Munich suburbs, the Ismaning site is specialized in the motorcycle industry : with a strong Japanese identity, this site fosters Sales and Engineering functions dedicated to the motorcycle industry. Last but not least, seneos GmbH, part of Astemo since 2020 is located in Cologne and specialized in embedded systems software. 

Located in Wroclaw, the largest city of the Lower Silesia District in Poland, the Wroclaw plant, with its +550 employees, is specialized in the production of hydraulic braking systems and electronic brake calipers with automated parking systems for leading car manufacturers. Products are made for passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles. 

Portugal also counts two Astemo sites. The first one being a brake production plant in Abrantes. Since 1982, this plant has been producing drum brakes. Today, the abrantes site counts around 200 employees. The second site in Portugal is located in its capital : Lisbon. The Lisbon office functions as a Shared Service Center for areas such as Accounting and Finance, Procurement and Logistics as well as Sales Administration.

Between sea and mountains, the Buelna plant lies in one of Spain's most beautiful sides : Cantabria. The production plant mainly produces disc brakes components, being later assembled in the Angers production site, but also front and rear brakes, as well as automated parking systems. Existing since 1976, the plant count nowadays around 300 employees.

Bursa is known as an automotive hub in Turkey, with car manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers having production sites in the area. Astemo is no exception to this : with one of the biggest sites in Europe, counting over 500 employees, the Bursa site is producing disc brakes, drum brakes and automated parking brakes. 

Located in the Greater Manchester area, in the western part of the United Knigdom, the Bolton plant counts around 100 employees. The site is specialized in the manufacturing of Air Flow Sensors, Engine Control Units and ADAS systems.
