Job Description

The development of technology that is awaited by society

In the area of autonomous driving development, I am mainly in charge of software development for advanced driver assistance systems.
Software development for advanced driver assistance systems is divided into control application development that realizes each function of the system, and basic software development that connects the application and hardware, and I am in charge of basic software development.

Since the development of advanced driver assistance systems is wide-ranging, development departments are divided into departments for each element, and development is carried out in collaboration with each department.

In addition, software is written to a prototype that incorporates hardware specifications, and verification and improvement are repeated.

We will work together with our internal team, as well as our customers and business partners, to open up the future of autonomous driving.

Motivation for Joining the Company

I was attracted to the high level of technology in autonomous driving

In my previous job, I was involved in system development for in-vehicle equipment (car navigation systems) at an electronics manufacturer. At that time, as part of the training, I had the opportunity to hear directly from the driver, who is the end user.
Among them, I felt that many drivers are highly interested in the safety and comfort of driving a car.

After that, I decided to change jobs because I wanted to be involved in development that could contribute to the safety and comfort of automobiles, and I wanted to be involved in the field of autonomous driving. I decided to join  Astemo, which has a reputation for its technical capabilities in autonomous driving.

Useful Learning and Experience

You can make use of basic knowledge of communications and experience in system development.

In my previous job at an electronics manufacturer, I was in charge of developing systems for car navigation systems and amplifiers. The basic knowledge of communication systems that I acquired at that time has been very useful in the design and development of advanced driver assistance systems today.

When I was a student, I also studied information and communication and embedded software engineering. I was doing research in a field that was very close to my current job, so I was able to make use of the knowledge and experience I learned as a student.

In the future, mobility development will require even more communication and software development technologies. I think that the opportunities where you can make use of your basic knowledge of communications and software will continue to expand.

Appeal of Astemo

A company with a lot of experience

Astemo is a company that possesses the high technological capabilities and a lot of know-how of the four companies before the merger. Each company has gained a lot of experience in its history. I feel that this is a company that can continue to grow in the future by using living learning.

In addition, such information is disseminated not only within the department but also throughout the company, and there is an awareness of trying to make the most of "learning from experience". Therefore, it is an environment where even newcomers can express their opinions without fear of failure.
