"Create an environment in which 80,000 employees around the world can freely use IT"
Sumire, In-house information system development, Japan
Job Description
We will respond to IT consultations from all over the world.
I am in charge of the development and operation of the in-house information system. Currently, we are planning and operating an authentication system. An authentication system is a system that allows each employee to log in to a personal computer, internal and external systems, and intranets with a single ID and password, while maintaining security, and to access and use a variety of information. With Astemo, it became necessary to unify each company's own authentication system. People who used to work for different companies become one.
By unifying and applying the authentication system, it was necessary to ensure that everyone could access, use, and share the same information, such as the systems and intranets of each company. We have already completed the application of a unified certification system to major systems, and we will continue to promote the unification and application of the certification system with the cooperation of various people from different organizations, businesses, and regions. Also, if there is a malfunction in the authentication system somewhere, it will affect the work of the base and everyone in the area, so I still have a long way to go.
To keep the jobs of 80,000 people around the world going and to accelerate our business. We will proceed with the application of the authentication system, and if a problem is identified around the authentication system, we will immediately identify the problem and take action. It's a job that supports the world's expanding IT infrastructure.

Useful Learning and Experience
You can make use of basic knowledge of programming
In graduate school, I did research on 3D image processing.
I don't do image processing in my current job, but the basic programming knowledge I learned at that time is very useful.
In my research on image processing, I was also studying data extraction methods and analyzing data. This experience has also helped me a lot.
In addition, since I have a lot of interaction with foreign countries, I make use of my own experience as a foreign national and my language skills.

Appeal of Astemo
A company full of individuals who approach each other as friends
One of the great things about our workplace is having approachable managers and senior colleagues you can turn to whenever you need advice. When I became pregnant and gave birth in my fifth year with the company, my colleagues and those around me supported me with kind words and considerations toward my own health.
There are generous systems in place to support life events such as maternity leave, childcare leave, and shortened working hours, and the people around me taught me how to take advantage of these systems. This let me give birth with peace of mind. Now that I'm back at work, it's interesting to be able to connect and work with various people from all over the world every day. Even after childbirth, I have been entrusted with a rewarding job.
