Job Description

A central command that supports production activities with a wide range of knowledge, from production sites to trade

I am in charge of production management of sensor products installed in automobiles. When you think of production management, you might imagine work that mainly involves formulating production plans. However, that is not all we do. For example, as a factory contact point, we collect order information from customers both in Japan and overseas, and we are also responsible for warehouse management of parts and products.

In addition, in production activities, we formulate production plans that maintain an appropriate inventory, and manage and supervise whether production is carried out as planned. In the event of production delays, we work with all departments, including manufacturing, design and development, quality assurance, material procurement, and production technology, to ensure that the customer's deadline is met. Production management also covers the logistics of delivering the finished product to the customer.

In addition, in the case of overseas customers, it is also a job that requires a wide range of knowledge; in addition to English skills, knowledge of import and export trade is also needed. Production management, which controls production activities, is truly the central command of the factory. It is an important job that plays a central role in manufacturing.

Useful Learning and Experience

I am able to make use of my knowledge of English and international relations

In my first year with the company, I was assigned to an overseas group, so I was able to make use of the knowledge of languages and international relations that I had cultivated as a student.

In my sixth year with the company, I was assigned to a plant in the U.S., where I had the opportunity to be in charge of production management for a U.S. automaker.
