Job Description

A control tower that controls free acceleration and deceleration

I am in charge of the design and development of control boards for inverters for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. There are various electronic devices in the inverter that adjust the output of the motor during the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle. The control board controls the movement of these devices. It is a product that can be said to be the control tower of running.

The configuration of the board is complex, and it includes a communication interface, parameter sensing for motor control, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) drive of power devices, and a microcontroller that performs arithmetic processing. The automotive industry is facing a once-in-a-century paradigm shift, and new concepts and challenges must be addressed in various fields, so we are working together with each team in charge of development.

In addition, since we deal with overseas customers, we use our English skills to communicate closely with colleagues at overseas bases as we work on our daily work.

In-vehicle inverter technology is evolving day by day, so the fun of my job is to be able to take on the challenge of developing technology and wisdom that have never been seen before.

Motivation for Joining the Company

I wanted to work for a top-level company on the global stage.

In my previous job, I was involved in the development of inverter products for construction machinery and automobiles, and the more I became immersed in development, the stronger my desire to provide top-level automotive products to the world.  Astemo was a company that could realize this idea.

In addition to having top-level technology among automotive parts manufacturers, I felt that 's R&D department had high development potential.

I was also attracted to the fact that they are expanding globally. The fact that I have many opportunities to work with the world is still a motivation for me.

Useful Learning and Experience

We make use of our extensive knowledge of inverter products

After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, he became an electronic circuit designer, and before joining  Astemo, he was involved in multi-disciplinary work in the development of inverters used in various forms of mobility.

The knowledge and skills in a wide range of fields that I acquired through my work are directly utilized in my current work.

In addition, at  Astemo, there are many opportunities to work on difficult themes as a team. You can also make use of the experience of devoting yourself to manufacturing with your colleagues and the communication skills you have acquired there.
