Approach to Human Resource Development

As a global leader in connected, autonomous driving, and electrification technologies, Astemo provides Advanced Sustainable Technologies for Mobility in the automotive and motorcycle sectors. Astemo's human resource development stance is to develop talent with the skills to achieve these goals and the communication abilities to thrive on the global stage.

We have established various career-oriented support environments to help each and every employee carve out their career and grow into the person they aspire to be. This includes education and training (Off-JT), participation in projects, internal recruitment systems, and self-development support.

To foster such human resources, Astemo has established a systematic and continuous development foundation.
We build on three pillars: off-the-job training (Off-JT), on-the-job training (OJT), and self-development. By combining these organically, we achieve both specialized knowledge and practical skills.
We aim to develop talent who bring expertise and global perspectives that can thrive on the global stage.

Young Employee Education Program

For the first two years after joining the company, senior employees (mentors) provide direct support to each new employee. Additionally, as trainees, they learn the basics of work through knowledge-based group education (OFF-JT) and practical education (OJT) at their respective assignments.

At the end of the second year, there is an opportunity to summarize and present the knowledge, skills, and experiences acquired through their work so far and how they plan to apply them in work going forward.

We have also introduced a mentoring system to alleviate concerns and worries about company life, help employees discover new sources of job satisfaction, and support career planning.

Global Talent Development Program

In order for a company to achieve further success in the global market, it is essential for talent equipped with various knowledge and skills to continue to thrive around the world.

As a mechanism to support the growth of such talent, we offer a wide range of education programs, from those for young employees to those for employees in management positions.
